When my wife and I got engaged, there was absolutely no question that I wanted an extremely talented and queer photographer whose personality would mesh well with mine. As a photographer myself, I also knew I needed someone who would take charge, take amazing photos, and most importantly, that I would feel safe and comfortable around (since your photographer is the one person you spend the most time with on your wedding day). I knew Kari from a facebook group we were both part of. I was drawn to her personality long before I ever saw her work. Once I browsed through her online portfolio, it was a no brainer, and from the very beginning I knew we had chosen well. She responded instantly, and her communication skills were outstanding. I had a list of stressful things to deal with before my wedding, and worrying about my photos was not one of them. I was so confident that Kari would help my day run as smoothly as possible, and she far exceeded my expectations. Kari brought her husband to second shoot, and they were a dream from the second I first hugged them! They fit right in with our crowd and everyone raved about how much they loved our photographers. We had a few unpleasant guests and situations throughout the night, to which Kari diffused and handled like a pro (we should have paid her extra for that haha). I had high expectations from being in the business, and was worried I would be disappointed when I finally saw the photos, but there was not one photo I could come up with a critique about. Every single photo was BEAUTIFUL and perfectly captured our day. From the tiniest detail, so the rowdiest guest, to capturing the love between my wife and I. I was sad when it was time for Kari and Caleb to leave us, because I felt like I had made two new friends! If you want professionalism, talent, and new friends - then Kari is your photographer and she is worth every penny.
